Desiree Cortez

I left my homeland of Hawai’I and followed my heart to Santa Fe, New Mexico in the early 1990’s. I was approximately 5 months pregnant when I arrived. My partner (then) & I planned to raise our family for a few years before I decided to go back to work. Prior to becoming a part of the Lockwood family, I’ve held jobs which were affiliated or involved around the construction industry, i.e., waste management, paint subcontractor, general contractor, etc. It was then that I heard of the name “Lockwood”. Still not content with what I was doing, I decided to use an employment agency to look for other employment. At that time, apparently Lockwood was looking for a main receptionist. Not being given any info on the company, I was lucky enough to get an appointment for an interview. In October of 2002, I became a part of the Lockwood Legacy.

Jesus DeSantos is one of Lockwood Construction’s Project Manager and is responsible for ensuring the timely and costly completion of construction projects by overseeing all phases of the project. This entails working with a variety of stakeholders to schedule and plan work, coordinate equipment and materials, operate within budget, and monitor overall progress. Jesus often spends most of his time at the construction site for much of the work week.
