LCC has been involved in Green Building for many years. We have built many Green Homes over the years for environmentally conscious Santa Fe Clients. LCC has done many LEED certified projects including several schools and the Center for NM Archaeology. Some of our more notable Green Projects are as follows:
- PERA Building – The Pera Building is a Gold LEED Accredited Building, built out of rammed earth. This is by far the largest, tallest rammed earth project currently in use in the Southwest.
- Pojoaque Elementary School – This school is a 30,000+ sf elementary school heated entirely by geothermal energy. LCC has done numerous geothermal projects.
- The Costilla Lodge – This silver certified hunting lodge is located on the Vermejo Park Ranch, and is built almost completely of on-site materials. It is a 12,000 sf cabin situated at an elevation of over 10,000 ft. and operated entirely off the grid. It is planned to become entirely self-sufficient on green energy which will upgrade its level to gold or above.
Our President, Robert Lockwood, is a LEED Accredited Professional.
